A riveting tale of repressed feelings, hidden pasts, and tortured hearts woven around the need for love and acceptance.

This close-knit circle of friends with deep-seated issues revealed through flashbacks, supports each other until someone causes unexpected hurt and alienation. Through her skillful writing, S. M. Stevens created an electrifying window into this diverse group of three-dimensional characters who you will come to appreciate and care about.

At times it can seem a bit preachy, especially from the perspective of the social activist, a very unique character. I love how he speaks. But in the lessons learned through a tragedy that affects them, they come together in a surprising twist of love and acceptance.

A truly memorable book that leaves your heart pounding.
